We are a community group working together to help Stansted Mountfitchet become more sustainable. Set up with the encouragement and support of the Parish Council, we want to contribute to the fight against climate change. Our aim is to do what we can at a local level to improve the environment, promote biodiversity, and help local households to reduce energy use. We hope to support the Uttlesford District Council’s target of reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2030.

We have two working sub groups:

The Environment Group look for opportunities to protect local wildlife and help improve the quality of our environment.
The Energy Saving Group support local residents and organisations to reduce energy usage/bills as well as their carbon output.

We also offer support to local businesses who want to know more about how to reduce their environmental impact.
